Umair A. Qazi is a graduate from the university of London and has the honour of being called to the Bar by the honourable Society of Lincolns Inn.
Mr. Qazi began his legal career with a bank based in London. Mr. Qazi's work involved the drafting of transactional agreements and advising various clients on the legality of shariah compliant products. During his tenure with the bank, Mr. Qazi worked on many ISDA related deals and carried out numerous SECAT (Secured Commodity Asset Transaction) deals. Thereafter Mr. Qazi moved to Dubai where his work involved advising clients in property related matters carrying out due diligences and representing and drafting high-profile agreements for top level realty businesses in Dubai.
On his return to Pakistan, Mr. Qazi joined the chambers in 2012 where he has handled several constitutional and civil matters covering a wide area of laws ranging from banking to customs, income tax, sales tax, matters relating to civil servants and company law matters. Mr. Qazi regularly appears before the High Courts of Pakistan and advises several different corporate entities on matters relating to tax, customs, real estate, media, intellectual property and company law. He was made a partner in the firm in 2016.
